Schonberger, Long Duration, 2-weight estimate 30 days+, unusual length, 66 beat Alt Deutsch case with lead chip filled bob, fine movement with maintaining power, winds to left, c1880 there are a few walnut veneer chips around the case, and it has been in a dry storage place, and the back is a bit warped and some veneer raised. One winding grommet is missing; the other is original. One pulley is original; other old one does not match. Bob has a couple of dents. Stabilizers absent. The good things are that this is not a marriage, rather a good seat-board mount on wooden corbels, original to a well made case. 6 pound weights are original. Like the floor clock in this sale, note that the long duration striker is even more rare than the grand sonnerie. This item will be attractive for the sophisticated Vienna collector. Ht 59"
