walnut case was refinished long ago. The bulls-eye door carries the initials "H M". There is a very old round hole in the case back behind the movement ( for sound exit). The very bottom molding and 4 bracket feet appear to have been replaced some time ago. All 5 finials are original. Movement is in good mechanical condition, ticks and strikes robustly. A very good example of 18th century Pennsylvania clock work. With history of "Godshalk" and family members by Shaffer pasted to inside of door. The dial engraver spelled it with a "t", as it is pronounced. Ht 107" [need tall ceilings]
