Festeau a Paris, Temple D' Amour annular clock, case of architectural form, the lower section with circular marble base, pierced railing and beaded trim, the center with gilt plinth, and 4 marble columns with gilt capitals and bases supporting the upper section, also with pierced railing and reeded 1/4 round trim, 4 gilt tapered columns supporting gilt ring for turned marble top, and with cast arrow for indicating time on two rotating rings with ceramic cartouches for numerals, the ring showing minutes signed "Festeau, a Paris", the 8 days, time and strike, movement fixed below, and open to view, silk thread suspended pendulum with tassel form ball, and turned marble top, c1785 turned marble top replaced {nicely done} decorative beaded swags missing, figure which should be located on gilt plinth missing, base with minor flakes, one marble column with repaired break, minor dirt and staining, dial cartouches with some corner chips, hairlines, and losses, movement ticks and strikes, pendulum bob may be replaced; Ht 15 1/2"
