France, swinging clock featuring a patinated spelter sculpture of young couple seated on a swing suspended from two trees with climbing vines, beneath a spherical blue painted clock case with applied Gothic Roman numerals and gilt Louis XV hands and 8 days, time only movement, all mounted to a multicolored marble base on gilt c scroll feet with bud and leaf ornament, with engraved plaque marked "Idylle Printaniere Par Geo Maxime", sculpture also signed "Geo. Maxim" on lower right, c1890 Sculpture good with minor wear to patination, some heavier losses to finish where swing meets trees, figures with coat of lacquer, suspension stud with filing, wear, marble with chip at right rear, feet with gold paint, screws fastening clock case to swing replaced, clock case painted, numerals and hands painted, clock case halves need minor straightening to close joint, suspension and its mount may be replacements, pendulum separated from pallet arbor and with end cut, movement ticks, will need service and other adjustments to run.
