Ansonia Clock Co., (or H. J. Davies Clock Co.), New York, "Crystal Palace" 8 days, time and strike, figural mantel clock (no glass dome), c1880 we do not see these two figures illustrated in Ly but we believe them correct as options were available at the time. There is no paper label and the paper dial is newer. The mirror is old with tarnish, the barrel pendulum is correct, the movement is signed, and the wood base is stamped "DAVIES PATD". The bezel has the patent stamp at the top. Side ornaments may be missing from dial, but some models did not have them. Ht 16 1/2"
