Birge, Peck & Co., Bristol, Conn., 8 days, time and strike weight driven triple-decker shelf clock with late strap brass movement, c1850 Mahogany veneered case has lost its original finish with veneer loss and small chips scattered on the front of the case. Original painted metal dial has some loss at the mounting pins and at the upper right corner. Both Fenn tablets are original with scattered loss in the frosted areas. Hands are original. Columns have scattered spots to the finish and some wear to the gilt areas. Top splat has been gold painted. Clock probably had turned feet that are now missing. Ht 33 1/4"
