Ephraim Downs, Bristol, Conn., 30-hour, time and strike, weight driven wood movement stenciled half column & splat shelf clock with carved paw feet and pineapple finials. c1830 Mahogany veneered case with original finish and original stencils under a dark finish. The chimneys have been repaired where they join the splat. Painted dial with minor wear has its wood stretchers removed. Tablet by Moberg is a replacement. Period hands. Original feet and pineapple finials. Movement is not original to this case as it is for a long pendulum case. Decent label. Ht 28 1/2"
