Waterbury Clock Co., "Sambo" blinking eye novelty clock, the figure in brightly colored clothing and playing a banjo, with clock mounted in his belly, Roman numeral painted dial, 30 hour lever timepiece, with linkage to escapement for blinking eyes, all on a molded cast iron base, c1860 dirty, some chipping and wear to paint, much loss to japanning on base, screws for attaching figure to base and also for joining castings replaced, hat with tight crack, bezel and catch replaced, escape wheel with damaged teeth, movement is clean but will need attention in order to run properly, eyes will also need adjustment, Ht 16"
