Birge, Mallory & Co., Bristol, Conn., triple decker shelf clock with eagle splat - 8 days, time and strike, strap brass weight driven movement, c1840. Mahogany veneered case retains some original finish with very little veneer damage. The splat, gilt columns, column caps are likely original. The original painted dial is in very good condition. Hands are original. The top glass is original, the middle glass is a replacement and the bottom glass is original with minor restoration. Ht 38 1/2".
