Birge, Mallory & Co., Bristol, CT 8 days, time and strike, weight driven double-decker carved splat shelf clock with strap brass movement, c1840. The mahogany case retains little finish and has only a few minor veneer chips. The ball feet and carved splat are original. The painted dial is in very good condition with only minor loss at the dial support pins. The hands are original as is the dial glass. The two lower tablets are both modern signed Moberg. The movement is signed. Ht 38".
