In the mid 1970s, to fill a demand of interest in English skeleton clocks, the firm of Marton & Gain, SA, with offices in Madrid, was producing 1, 2 & 3 train skeleton clocks, after English patterns, for about 2 years. The quarter chime model proved problematic, however, the single train was reliable. This clock is one of early production, and is well finished with an engraved and silvered chapter ring, and a nicely finished walnut base. The glass dome is well made, light and clear. Ht of clock frame = 13", overall with base and dome = 15"
