France, Paris, mini 8 days,bell striking clock with silk thread suspension and Gothic gilt bronze cathedral facade case under glass dome, c1850 he Gothic facade is finely detailed with original frosty yellow gilding. Bell and bell retaining nut have been replaced, and someone has fashioned a very nice pendulum with threaded rod and adjustable bob [silk is also adjustable with take-up knob]. Good Paris movement is signed simply "ACD". Turned ball feet are attached with fine screws that will need adjusting, as the clock does not set level. Clock gilding is good because it has spent most of its life under this dome. Ht of clock = 9 1/2" ht with black wooden base and dome = 13 1/2"
