the custom made base has no provision for a glass dome. A clock enthusiast, worried over dust in the movement, added 3 pillars near the top to support 2 panes of glass acting as dust covers over the escapement. Otherwise a well pierced frame with 6 turned pillars, all held with screws and collets. Original fusee chain intact. Dial with bends and a crack. Ht 17"
