Mahogany case with brass inserts and Egyptian revival ornaments is in very nice condition in an old and possibly original finish. Original dial has been repainted or relined and has a small chip on the edge. Original hands and finial. Name is engraved on the back.

the lacquered design is in good condition. The finials are older replacements. The dial is slightly darkened but in good condition. The weights (mismatched) and period pendulum (missing suspension unit) are replacements. Beautiful hands.

Frames with staining, rear frame with minor bend at upper left, dial with fine scratches and minor tarnish, hands with loss to blue and minor oxide, some steel with minor oxide, movement very oily and with accumulated dirt, runs well, but should be serviced, base repainted and with new fabric, dome replaced, and trimmed with electrical tape
John Halifax, London a late 18th century japanned bracket clock, composite brass arch dial, silvered roman numeral chapter ring signed below 6:00, "John Halifax/London", date aperture and mock pendulum, regulation dial in the arch, blued steel hands,
movement and case are associated. Silvered chapter ring discolored and tarnished, pierced wooden sound frets are replacements, minor losses to japanned decoration, lacking door and winding key. The right return molding is absent. True japanned decoration is only found on dial door and molded top; sides are painted decoration, thus the later date of this clock.

Rosewood veneered case in an old finish has a repair at the bottom front panel and a stress crack next to that panel. There is a small stress crack on the lower left side. Dial has been nicely restored. Original hands. All of the carvings are now gold painted. Original feet. Heavy, quality English movement with original pendulum.

Rosewood veneered case in a gothic design in nice condition in original finish has a couple small holes and scratches around the pull alarm ring. Engraved silvered dial is quite nice with some faint scratches around the winding arbor and a couple light tarnish spots. Original hands.
