English made single chain fusee skeleton timepiece in a sharp Gothic frame with 6 heavily turned baluster pillars, and a solid silvered chapter ring and pierced lancet hands, c1840. Silvered engraved brass cross piece indicating it was retailed by Griffiths of London. silvering on the dial and plinths has discolored and is worn. Old dome is a nice older replacement, but is a bit wide, thus extends off the sides of the base. Overall a good original skeleton clock. Ht of plinth and frame = 13" Overall ht including base and dome = 17"
