Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster, Penn., model 22 chronometer with wind indicator, 35 size, 21 jewels, stem wind, pin/stem set, adjusted to 6 positions and temperature, straight line damascened nickel plate movement, with lever escapement and micrometric regulator, Arabic numeral metal dial and black steel, spade and poker hands, contained in an screw back and bezel, open face base metal case with ordnance department information engraved on back, and with inner and outer protective boxes, the inner with glazed aperture for viewing the timepiece, outer box with name plate on front, serial #1792, c1940, with associated performance certificate, service bulletin, and "Hamilton Marine Chronometer Log Book". CASE: Both wooden boxes very good with minor scratches; Minor scratches on outer surface of base metal case; Spots of minor corrosion; Plastic crystal. DIAL: A few minor marks. HANDS: Very good. MOVEMENT PLATES: A few minor scratches; Dirty. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks), should be serviced. Papers good, with minor dirt and folds.
