Terry design) in a rosewood veneered case, c1865, The beautiful rosewood case with original finish is in excellent condition. There may be a small amount of additional finish on the bottom section. The dial has been repainted. The hour and minute hands are original with the seconds hand a later replacement. The upper door glass is original and the lower tablet has excellent, original gilt design with minor loss of black backing. The pendulum rod has original gilt finish. The weight baffle boards have been repainted and do not have the Seth Thomas label or the beat indicator scale. Overall this is a very sharp looking example of this model. Ht 41".
