Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Gloria" model swinging timepiece, patinated spelter female figure with wings and holding a lyre, standing on the globe and mounted to an ebonized iron base, her right arm supporting the clock with compound pendulum, spherical case with applied Arabic numerals and Louis XV style hands containing the 8 days, time only, movement, gridiron style assembly with ornamented smaller sphere at bottom, c1901. figure retains much of the original bronze color base coat, the green upper layer having been rubbed away through cleaning, support for clock has been broken and reattached to figure, clock case and lower sphere now painted blue, clock case with small hole in center of back, gilt ornament now painted gold, suspension replaced, shield for front of suspension missing, minor loss to ebonized surface on base, ticks, but will need adjustment, Ht 28 1/2"
