The Year Clock Co., New York, 12 month, brass fusee movement A. D. Crane's Patent empire six ball rotary pendulum year clock produced by J. R. Mills & Co, c1846 Ebonized empire style case in original finish with a little wear along the bottom edge. Column capitals and bases look to have lost most of their original gilding. Original embossed brass dial surround has been reduced in size by the removal of the edges that now leaves an open gap on each side when the dial is mounted in the case. The original paper dial has been damaged in the past and looks to have been glued to repair the damage. The glass protecting the dial is a modern replacement. Hands are original. Original frosted glass. Ht 21 1/4"
