the front bottom molding has an old crack near right corner; other minor edge abrasions. Ormolu feet are intact, one loose. The figure of Diana has been repainted; could be better. The glass center pendulum is a reproduction. Incised gilt dial is fine, and with original gilt spade hands. Movement recently serviced and seems to run and strike OK. Movement with the mark of Guilmet (Brevet - GLT - SGDG), and the number 271. For a complete description of the movement and the "mystery" behind this clock, see Derek Roberts' book titled "Mystery, Novelty and Fantasy Clocks" Ht 27 1/2"
