Welch, Spring & Company, Forestville, Conn., "Regulator No. 8" wall clock, 8 days, time only, two brass weight driven movement with center sweep seconds in a black walnut case with burled highlights and elements and white enamel dial, c1885 the case retains its excellent original finish. The four small ball finials on bottom are absent. There is a minor crack repair to bottom left trim. The dial has minor repair around center arbor and right winding arbor. There are hairlines between 4 & 5 and above left winding arbor. The pendulum rod is gold leafed. The brass crutch plate insert is absent. The key and beat scale are original. This is a rare example in unusually fine condition. Ht 66"
