Welch, Spring & Co., Forestville, Conn., ÓVerdiÒ wall hanging clock in rosewood veneer case with spring driven, 8 days, time and strike, movement, c1878. The case has its original finish. There are several veneer repairs to the door frame. The original painted dial has faded and the numerals were strengthened, though a bit crudely. The hands are original. The bezel glass is replaced, but the lower door glass is original. The gilt inner molding on the door frame is in nice condition. Ht 31Ó.
