Co., Bristol, Conn., Column shelf clock with a spring driven, 30 hours, time, strike and alarm movement in a rosewood veneered case, c1850. (3) Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn., ÓDioÒ shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 days, time, strike and alarm movement in a walnut case, c1891. (1) The case has been nicely refinished. The dial pan is new. The hands are original. The label is in good condition. Both glasses are original with the lower frosted glass showing some wear. The movement is signed ÓC. Boardman, Bristol, ConnÒ. Ht 19 3/4Ó. (2) The finish has worn fairly thin in some areas. There is some loss to the top of the right gilt half column. The original painted dial shows fading of the numbers and chapter ring and paint loss at the mounting holes. The hands are original. The movement is signed J. C, Brown, Forestville, Conn. Ht,19Ò. (3) The case has been nicely refinished. The original paper dial has darkened with age. The hour hand is original but the minute hand is a replacement. The original stenciled glass shows minor wear. The case back has a nice label. Ht 20Ó.
