Clocks- 2 (Two) European shelf clocks: (1) French brass and beveled glass, 8 days, time and strike, crystal regulator mantel clock, Japy Freres Medaille dÕHonneur movement, c1900Õ (2) Gustav Becker, Freiburg, German, Medaille DÕOr disk pendulum 400 day clock with glass dome, c1900 (1) this smaller model has an older worn tarnished surface, the beveled glasses are fine, the white enamel dial has a few tiny chips around the winding holes. Sadly, we see rust on some of the steel components, it is not ticking or striking, and the pendulum is absent. Ht 8 1/4Ó (2) the brass retains an original old patina with expected wear and tarnish. The enamel dial is fine, as is the ornate disk pendulum. The torsion spring is good and the movement ticks but was not tested long term. Ht 11 1/2Ò to top of dome
