The finish is quite thin. The painted dial is in very good condition. The hands, while period, are not usually seen on this model. The signed movement is a large (No. 40), 8 days, time and strike, movement which strikes on a cathedral gong. The door glass is old and the inner door glass frame (gesso) has lost its gilt finish. Ht 32 1/2Ò.
