Clocks- 2 (Two): Jahresuhren-Fabrik ÓLouvreÒ 400 day brass clock with glass dome; French cast and gilt composition cartel wall clock, cylinder escapement platform; c1900 much of the LouvreÕs brass had some gold paint applied some years ago, but the case is otherwise intact. The multicolor porcelain dial looks very good, and the tall round dome is okay. The fancy painted cartel clock surface is dirty and worn but still looks good. The rear door, covering the movement well, is from a Seth Thomas black mantel. The white porcelain dial has hairlines, and the beveled glass has a scratch. The platform ticks but probably needs service. Hts 18 1/2Ó for the cartel and overall 17 1/2Ò with dome on the Louvre.
