French, Barbot, Paris, 8 days, time and strike, spring brass movement 4-column Empire portico mantel clock, c1895 Ebonized veneer and marquetry case in very nice condition with just a very small piece of string veneer missing on the lower right corner. The top cap is a little warped. Original silvered dial is tarnished with the numbers intact. Original hands. Gilt bezel and capitals are in nice condition. Nice gilt pendulum with just a little loss on the shell. Base is included and based on the inlay is most likely the one sold originally with this clock. The base has a shrinkage and war page crack in the veneer. The glass dome is missing. Ht 18 1/2Ò
