French, for Ball, Black & Co., New York, marble and cast brass mantel clock, Marti Medaille de Bronze, 8 days, time and strike, movement, c1880 the marble has a small chip at the top left, and one on the back foot, but otherwise is in nice condition, and the ornate brasses have an old patina. The signed black marble dial has had some of its numbers imperfectly glued, there are small chips around the winding holes, and the minute hand was repaired. The trademarked movement ticks, and the strike train runs, but the hammer is detached and the bell is absent. Ht 17Ò
