(1) the gilt finish on the brass case has worn off. The French sash and Louis XV style hands are correct. The porcelain dial has multiple hairline cracks. The movement has barrel springs. The pendulum bob is a new replacement and does not match the bob originally supplied with this model. Ht 15 1/4Ò. (2) this example was gold plated, and some of the gold remains but mostly the surfaces are brass color now. The beveled glasses are good, but the glass vials are absent from the simulated mercury pendulum. The enamel dial, signed by Boston retailer Bigelow, Kennard & Co. is in good condition but loose, as is the case top. The signed movement ticks and strikes but was not tested long term. Ht 11 1/4Ó
