Unknown, (Possibly an E. & G.W. Bartholomew), Bristol, Conn., 30 hours, time and strike, weight wood movement hollow column shelf clock, c1835 Partly refinished mahogany veneered case with some repairs on the lower section. Painted wood dial looks original to the case and fits perfectly, but it is for a wood movement with an alarm and there is no evidence of a bell stand or a slot for the hammer in the top of the case. The movement currently in the case is a standard time and strike. Tablet is a nice repaint on period glass. The two small columns on each side of the mirror could be replacements as an extra set of gilt columns, now gold painted, are with the clock. The splat is missing. There is a set of chimney caps with pineapple finials. Key escutcheon is missing. There are no weights, hands or pendulum or label. Ht 34Ò
