(2) Burr & Chittenden, Lexington, Mass., 30 hours, time and strike, weight wood movement half column & splat shelf clock with ÓgroanerÒ movement, c135. (1) Mahogany veneered case in nice condition in an old finish. Stenciling on the columns are probably original, but the stencils on the splat are modern. Original painted dial is very nice for its age. Hands are probably replacements, but proper style. Period carved pineapple finials. Bottom tablet glass is original with only remains of original gilt border, the rest sprayed with blue paint. Nice label inside the case. (2) Mahogany veneered case in original finish with some veneer loss on the base and the right lower block. Original wood dial with wear and scattered paint loss. Original hands. Stenciling on the columns is original, but worn. Stenciling on splat is not original. Mirror is replaced. Nice label inside the case.
