Birge & Fuller, Bristol, Conn., 8 days, time and strike, detached fusee brass movement steeple on frame or double steeple shelf clock, c1845 Mahogany veneered case in an original finish with loss and repairs on the base and a small piece on the left side. Bottom tablet is original, middle one is a copy applied to the glass. Original painted dial has age darkened a little with some loss on the edges, the winding arbors and at the mounting screws. Movement is signed. Hands probably original. The case may have had feet as there are holes in the case bottom. With restoration of proper upper tablet, this will be an excellent example. Ht 26 1/2Ó
