(1) this appears to be a larger taller version of the Empire No. 307 but is not shown in Ly or in our auction records. ÒSpecialÓ is stamped on the rear of the dial, so this may not be a production model. The lacquered brass has some minor tarnish, and two of the beveled glasses have corner chips. The silvered dial has small spots and scratches, and has applied bronze numbers. The simulated mercury pendulum has one broken glass vial. The clock ticks but does not strike, and the small gathering pallet is loose and bagged inside the case. Ht 15Ò; (2) the lacquered brass surfaces have darkened and tarnished, the beveled glasses are good. The signed multicolor enamel dial, with its floral garlands, is fine, as is the simulated mercury pendulum. The signed movement ticks and strikes, but not tested long term. Ht 12Ó (3) the lacquered brass surface has darkened and worn, the beveled glasses all are fine, the signed silvered dial is toned and scratched a bit. The movement ticks and strikes properly but was not tested long term. Ht to handle top 11Ò
