Clayton, English tall clock, 8 days, time, strike and calendar, weight driven movement in a mahogany case with crotch veneer door, reeded corner columns flanking trunk door, reeded full columns flanking hood door with gold painted molding above and fretwork broken arch crest. The painted iron square dial has moon phase and is decorated with two birds, c1830 the case retains an old finish. The lower plinth has a split in the center and some chipping on rear right. The fretwork appears later. The dial is in good condition with no flaking. Ht 89Ò
