Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., ÓBeloitÒ model city series mantel clock with spring driven, 8 days, time, strike and alarm movement in a walnut case, c1885. The walnut case is in excellent condition, although it has a later finish. The dial has been repainted and has a paint loss at 6 oÕclock. The ÓSTÒ hands appear to be original. The large lyre movement is signed and strikes on a cathedral gong. The stenciled glass is a later replacement. The pendulum bob is damaskeened nickel. The case backside shows a date of December, 1885. The movement is clean and retains complete ÓGenevaÒ stops. Ht 22 3/4Ó.
