France, dore bronze figural clock, NAVY, showing a seaman going ashore with flag and axe, a giant bronze anchor at his feet, the clocked itself flanked by large striated waves of ocean, c1840 this clock [along with Army], came from a private collection in Arizona, and is in exceptional original condition. There are a couple of minor hairlines in the porcelain dial, but still very good. The well made silk suspension movement bears number 641, but is otherwise unsigned; strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Moon hands, pendulum, and misc hardware original. Ht 15 1/2Ò
