American 30-day, time only, ÒskeletonÓ clock, movement by Atkins, Whiting & Co., with Joseph IveÕs wagon spring power plant and mounted to wooden base, under dome, c1853 glass dome is damaged and glued. The dial feet broke loose from the dial during shipment and will need re-attaching (taped on in photo). One pinion poorly secured with solder. Students of Ives will recognize that this movement, in addition to the leaf spring power, utilized his unique rolling pinions. Examples of this model can be found in both the following books= 1.
