Spencer, Hotchkiss & Co., Salem Bridge, Conn., 8 days, time and strike, weight brass movement Empire shelf clock, c1835 Mahogany veneered case in original finish with some loss on the base and a small area on the door. Small side pieces just above the base box are missing. Mahogany veneered columns have some hairline cracks lifting in places. Original side top piece is inside the case. Original gong and the motion work gears for the movement are inside the case. Tablet in the door is a copy on old glass. Mirror is original. Top tablet is original. Unfortunately there is no dial.
