The case has a nice finish. The time dial has darkened with age as has the calendar dial which shows some wear at the roller windows. The, time and strike, hands are original. The calendar hand may be a later replacement. The calendar roller dials are original and have darkened slightly. The movement is signed ÓE. N. Welch Mfg. Co., Forestville, Conn., manufactured for the Ithaca Calendar Clock Co.Ò. The base, which is attached to the case with external head screws may be missing a lower finial piece as is shown in the 1880 catalogue. Ht 29Ó.
