Unknown maker, Connecticut Banjo, 30 hours, time and strike, two weight driven, Terry-type wooden works movement in a mahogany veneered case with painted wooden dial and reverse painted throat tablet, c1830 the case has an old finish with veneer replacements around perimeter of doors and tenting on lower panel. There is a small veneer chip on lower center molding. The movement will need service as the great wheel is not engaging. Reproduction made 60 to 80 years ago from old parts. The reverse painted tablet is a replacement. Ht 35Ò
