Asa Munger, Auburn, NY so-called ÓIroning Board TopÒ Empire carved column shelf clock with 8 days, weight driven, time and strike, movement in a butternut case with mahogany veneer, c1830. The case retains its original finish. The painted iron dial has minor loss on the outer edge. The hands are original as is the flying eagle pendulum bob. The case interior is nicely wallpapered and there is a very nice label. Two of the four pulleys are the original pewter versions. The glass which normally covers the tin painting in the door top is no longer there. The door mirror is a replacement. Ht 39Ó
