Lenzkirch, Germany, Vienna Regulator wall clock, 8 days, 2-wt, time and strike, weight driven movement marked with Lenzkirch hallmark in a mahogany and ebonized case with ornately detailed carvings in hunting motif including oak leaves, acorns, rabbits, quail, etc. and a white enamel dial, serial number 213734, c1871 the case retains its original finish with minor restorations. The lower center finial is absent and the lower outer finials have been shortened. Among the highly detailed and wonderfully decorative elements on this clock there are a few pieces that have been replaced including bow on the base, the deer head on the crest, lower left molding and egg and dart molding below door and two moldings above lower finials. The dial has faint hairlines between 10 and 1. This is one of the harder to find models from Lenzkirch. Ht 47Ò
