Elliott, London, England tall case clock, 8 days, time, strike and Westminster & Whittington chime on nine tubes, Triple brass, weight driven movement in a mahogany case with full round fluted Corinthian columns flanking hood, fluted Corinthian corner columns flanking trunk door, pierced carved side frets, dental molding below hood, seven pane beveled glass trunk door and sides on a base with flat carved side columns flanking a raised center panel and hairy ball and claw feet. The brass dial has raised silver chapter ring and two subsidiary dials for Strike / Silent and tune selection, all surrounded by ornately cast brass trim and spandrels with nicely engraved dial center, c1910 the case retains the original finish with minor age related blemishes. The case and movement have been well kept and polished and when setup have a striking appearance. Ht 96Ò
