English monumental tall case clock, 8 days, time, strike and chime, three brass weight driven, chain pull Elite, Germany movement in a dark oak case with highly detailed carvings including three panels on the trunk with medieval scenes flanked by carved columns above carvings of gentlemen in medieval garb in full relief and another panel with knight on bended knee. The dial is brass with a silvered chapter ring, c1900 the case retains its original finish and the two upper finials and bear carvings flanking hood are replacements. The Elite movement has a strike hammer broken and detached, but included and the gongs are period but replacements. Ht 116Ò (Just under 10 feet)
