ÒWall AcornÓ, wall clock, 8 days, time only, spring driven movement in a mahogany veneer case with a painted zinc dial and reverse painted lower tablet, c1845 the case front has an old finish nicely rubbed down. The door frames, sides and rear of case have been painted black. Old repairs exist with additional thin strips added to close age gaps arising from shrinkage in the case. The dial retains its original paint with touch up near center arbor and perimeter and is properly signed. Hands are original type. 8 days timepiece movement is correct. Case has old dust paper and very nice original card label inside. The lower glass is an older repaint. Ht 28 1/4Ò
