Elliott, London, England tall case clock, 8 days, time, strike and Westminster & Whittington chime on nine nickel plated tubes, three nickel plated, weight driven movement in an extremely ornate inlaid and carved mahogany case with delicate fret work back board and sides on hood and applied carving over glass in trunk door. The superior brass dial is nicely shaped and has raised silver chapter ring and three subsidiary dials for Strike / Silent, Chime / Silent and tune selection, all surrounded by ornately cast brass trim and spandrels with cast brass dial center and subsidiary seconds, c1910 the case retains its original finish. The fretwork is in good shape in general, but has some breaks and absent pieces that will need attention. There are several minor splits and repairs to the applied carving on the glass. There is minor veneer lifting on top of the hood. The dial is in very good condition. Ht 106Ó
