Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., ÒNo. 60 RegulatorÓ, wall clock, 8 days, time only, brass, weight driven, secondÕs beating movement with Graham deadbeat escapement and mercury compensated polished four brass cylinder pendulum in a black walnut case with a silvered brass dial, c1885 the case retains its original finish and is in excellent condition. There are a few minor imperfections to this outstanding case including veneer flakes on both sides of return molding under crest and abrasions on corner moldings under door. The original right return molding under door has been reattached {glue joint shows} and the lower left and right finials are professional replacements, precisely carved using an original as a guide. The silvered dial is in excellent original condition, as are the hands. Minor shadows are due to our distance from the clock for photograph. The brass weight and pendulum of highly polished brass look great and are ready to hang. Even considering the small imperfections, this is about the nicest No. 60 we have ever offered. Ht 80Ò
