Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn., "Rocket", 30 hours, time and strike, spring driven brass movement mantel clock with alarm, c1880. (1) Rosewood veneered case in original finish with some scratches on the base. Original painted dial has some scattered loss. Original lower tablet with some loss to the painted flowers and the background in the corner spandrels. Original hands and a clean label inside the case. (2) Refinished rosewood veneered case in nice condition. Original painted dial has scattered loss. Original hands and tablet with some loss to the background. Stained label inside the case. (3) Rosewood veneered case in original finish with couple chips on the left side half molding. Original painted dial with scattered loss. Original hands and tablet with very minor loss in the center area. Bottom area of the gilt molding is now gold painted. Slightly dark label inside the case.
