Rosewood veneered case in an old and possibly original finish with small veneer loss on a couple of the corners on the octagon top and the drop base. The painted dial with some inpainting on the edges and spot at 5 o'clock. There is evidence that the edges of the current dial have been cut off. Brass bezel has been replaced and is too small (reason dial was cut down). Dial signed by retailer - "W. Padgett / Newark". The bottom door has lost its veneer and is now stained dark. Ht 31"
