(2) Brewster & Ingrahams, Bristol, Conn., Beehive shelf clock in a mahogany case with a spring driven, 8 days, time and strike movement, c1850. (1) The finish on the case is in poor condition as is the gilt gesso molding on the door frame. Both finials are missing. The dial has some minor discoloration. The hands are newer. There is a very nice cathedral gong with a nickel plated base. The nickel pendulum bob is nicely damascened The movement is signed. Ht 20 1/2". (2) The case has an old, dark finish, There is some damage to the top rear of the case and minor veneer issues with the lower left base return molding. The dial is a modern replacement. The hour hand is original, but the minute hand is new. The upper door glass is old and the lower tablet is new. The movement is signed. Ht 18 3/4".
